Working with a Scheduled Report in Site Analytics

Using scheduled reports in Site Analytics, you can email customized reports to recipients at a time you define. You can even pause the scheduled emails if you know your recipient is going to be away from their email for an extended period of time.

Creating a Scheduled Report in Site Analytics

Create scheduled reports in Site Analytics to email customized reports of your website's traffic.

To Create a Scheduled Report in Site Analytics

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. Click Site Analytics.
  3. Next to the account you want to use, click Launch.
  4. Click the domain name you want to use.
  5. Click Settings, and then click Schedule Reports.
  6. From the Reports section, select the reports to schedule. For detailed information explaining the reports, see Report Categories.

    NOTE: If multiple report types are selected, then they are sent to the recipient(s) in one email message.

  7. Complete the following fields, and then click Save.
    • Send to — Enter the email address to receive the report. You can only enter one email address, but you can schedule multiple reports. Scheduled reports are sent to this email address unless we receive delivery failure messages. Once we receive three bounceback messages, the scheduled report is deactivated until you turn it back on.
    • Reporting range — Select the report's time frame.
    • Send when — Select the report's frequency.
    • Report style — Select the report's email format.

Editing a Scheduled Report in Site Analytics

You can edit scheduled reports in Site Analytics if any of the report options need to be updated.

To Edit a Scheduled Report in Site Analytics

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. Click Site Analytics.
  3. Click Launch next to the account you want to use.
  4. Click the domain name you want to use.
  5. Click Settings, and then click Schedule Reports.
  6. In the Action section, click Edit.
  7. Make changes to the existing scheduled report, and then click Update Schedule.

Deleting a Scheduled Report in Site Analytics

You can delete Site Analytics scheduled reports once they are no longer needed.

To Delete a Scheduled Report in Site Analytics

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. Click Site Analytics.
  3. Click Launch next to the account you want to use.
  4. Click the domain name you want to use.
  5. Click Settings, and then click Schedule Reports.
  6. In the Action section, click Delete.
  7. Click Yes to confirm the deletion of the scheduled report.

Pausing and Restarting a Scheduled Report in Site Analytics

Use this option to stop sending a scheduled report to a recipient who might be away from their email for an extended period of time.

You can also use this option to restart scheduled reports. Scheduled reports are sent to a specified email address unless we receive delivery failure messages. Once we receive three bounceback messages, the scheduled report stops until you restart it.

To Pause and Restart a Scheduled Report in Site Analytics

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. Click Site Analytics.
  3. Click Launch next to the account you want to use.
  4. Click the domain name you want to use.
  5. Click Settings, and then click Schedule Reports.
  6. In the Action section, click the Stop Sending or Send Reports button to turn the report on and off.

Copying a Scheduled Report in Site Analytics

Using the Scheduled Reports Add button, you can create new reports using the settings of existing reports. So, if you need to create a new scheduled report that is similar in nature to an existing report, you can just copy and edit it. This means you don't need to start all over every time you want to add a new scheduled report.

To Copy a Scheduled Report in Site Analytics

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. Click Site Analytics.
  3. Click Launch next to the account you want to use.
  4. Click the domain name you want to use.
  5. Click Settings, and then click Schedule Reports.
  6. In the Action section, click the Edit Schedule button, and then click Add Report Schedule.
  7. Specify the settings you want for the new scheduled report, and then click Generate New Schedule.
