The following terms are used in Site Analytics reports. These calculations are based on the records displayed (not total records) for a particular report. When a report's count value changes, we recalculate percentages.

Visitor Reports

Visitors

  • Date — The date range of the reported information.
  • Unique Visitors — The number of unique visitors to the site. Returning visitors are counted on the first visit only.
  • Visitors — The total number of visits to the site, including unique and returning visitors.

Visitor Information

  • IP Address — The unique number assigned to the computers connected to your site.
  • Host Name — The name of the servers connecting your visitors to the Internet.
  • Page — Specific Web page accessed by visitors.
  • Keywords — The keywords visitors use on search engines to locate your site.
  • Current Visit — The amount of time currently connected visitors are on your site.
  • Total Time — The total amount of time each visitor is connected during the chosen date range.
  • % — Calculation: Individual Total Time / All visitors Total Time = %.

Visitor Paths

  • Path — A visitor's navigation path during a single session.
  • Pages — The amount of Web pages viewed in a single visit that navigated the corresponding path.
  • Visits — The total number of visits to the site.
  • Percentage — Calculation: Visits / Total Visits = %.

Depth of Visit

  • Pages Visited — The number of pages accessed by visitors in a single session.
  • Visits — The amount of visitors accessing the corresponding number of pages.

Time on Site

  • Minutes on Site — The number of minutes visitors spend on the website.
  • Visitors — The number of visits to the site, including unique and returning visitors.

Loyalty

  • Number of Visits — The number of visits made to the website during the specified date range.
  • Visitors — The number of visits to the site, including unique and returning visitors.

Countries

  • Country — The country the visitor is located in.
  • Visitors — The number of visits to the site, including unique and returning visitors.
  • Percentage — Calculation: Visitors / Total Visitors = %.

Regions

  • Region — The region the visitor is located in.
  • Visitors — The number of visits to the site, including unique and returning visitors.
  • Percentage — Calculation: Visitors / Total Visitors = %.

Cities

  • City — The city the visitor is located in.
  • Visitors — The number of visits to the site, including unique and returning visitors.
  • Percentage — Calculation: Visitors / Total Visitors = %.

Postal Codes

  • Postal Code — The postal code the visitor is located in.
  • Visitors — The number of visits to the site, including unique and returning visitors.
  • Percentage — Calculation: Visitors / Total Visitors = %.

Browsers

  • Browser — The Internet browser used by site visitors.
  • Version — The Internet browser version used by site visitors.
  • Count — The number of visitors using the corresponding Internet browser and version.
  • Percentage — Calculation: Count / Total Count = %.

Operating Systems

  • Operating System — The operating system running on the computer accessing the site.
  • Count — The number of visitors using the corresponding operating system.
  • Percentage — Calculation: Count / Total Count = %.

Page Reports

Page Views

  • Date — Date range (hourly, daily, or monthly) of the reported information.
  • Page Views — The number of times a specific page has been requested by site visitors.
  • Percentage — Calculation: Page Views / Total Page Views = %.

Pages

  • Page — Specific page accessed by visitors.
  • Requests — The number of times content is served up by a Web server to a requesting Web browser.
  • Avg. Time — The average amount of time visitors spend on the corresponding Web page.
  • Req % — Calculation: Requests / Total Requests = %.
  • Time % — Calculation: Avg. Time / Total Avg. Time = %.

Entry Pages

  • Page — Specific page requested or accessed by visitors.
  • Views — The number of times a specific page has been requested by site visitors.
  • Percentage — Calculation: Views / Total Views = %.

Exit Pages

  • Page — Specific page requested or accessed by visitors.
  • Views — The number of times a specific page has been requested by site visitors.
  • Percentage — Calculation: Views / Total Views = %.

Bounce Rates

  • Page — Specific page requested or accessed by visitors.
  • Page Views — The number of times a specific page has been requested by site visitors.
  • Bounces — Amount of visitors coming to your site, landing on a page, and exiting from that page without visiting any other pages.
  • Bounce Rate % — Calculation: Bounces / Page Views = %.

Exit Links

  • Page — Specific page accessed by visitors.
  • Exit Link — The page last viewed before visitors leave the website.
  • Count — The number of visitors leaving the website on the corresponding exit link.
  • Percentage — Calculation: Count / Total Count = %.

Most Popular Hour

  • Hour — Most popular hour in the dates requested.
  • Page Views — The number of times a specific page has been requested by site visitors.
  • Percentage — Calculation: Page Views / Total Page Views = %.

Most Popular Day

  • Day — Day of the week.
  • Page Views — The number of times a specific page has been requested by site visitors.
  • Percentage — Calculation: Page Views / Total Page Views = %.

Referrer Reports

Referring Domains

  • Domain — The domain name linking and sending traffic to your site.
  • Referrals — The number of times a given site referred traffic to the URL being tracked with Site Analytics.
  • Percentage — Calculation: Referrals / Total Referrals = %.

Referring Pages

  • Page — Specific page requested or accessed by visitors.
  • Referrals — The number of times a given site referred traffic to the URL being tracked with Site Analytics.
  • Percentage — Calculation: Referrals / Total Referrals = %.

Search Engines

  • Search Engine — The search engine sending traffic to your site.
  • Count — The amount of visitors referred to your site by the corresponding search engine.
  • Percentage — Calculation: Count / Total Count = %.

Keywords

  • Keyword — The keywords visitors use on search engines to locate your site.
  • Count — The amount of visitors using the corresponding keywords in search engines.
  • Percentage — Calculation: Count / Total Count = %.

Server Reports

Hits

  • Date — The date of returned activity.
  • Hits — The total number of requests made to your server for website pages and files.
  • Percent — Calculation: Hits / Total Hits = %.

Errors

  • File — The Web pages that generate server errors on your website.
  • Error Count — The amount of errors generated by the corresponding Web page.
  • Percentage — Calculation: Error / Total Errors = %.

Files

  • File — The website files stored on the server.
  • Requests — The total number of requests made to your server for corresponding file.
  • Percentage — Calculation: Requests / Total Requests = %.

Resource Types

  • Extension — The website file extension for Web pages and files stored on the server.
  • Type — The total number of requests made to your server for corresponding file extension.
  • Count — Calculation: Type / Total Type requests = %.

Bad Resource Links

  • Referring Page — The page on your site with the broken link.
  • Missing Resource — The broken link listed on the corresponding referring page.

Bandwidth

  • Date — The date of returned activity.
  • KB Transferred — Amount of kilobytes transferred from the server to site visitors.

File Bandwidth

  • File — The Web page or file stored on your server.
  • Total Bytes — The size of the Web page or file.
  • Percentage — Calculation: Total Bytes / sum of Total Bytes = %.
