Adding and Modifying DNS Records in Parallels Plesk Panel

You can use Parallels Plesk Panel to add or modify the DNS records for domain names hosted on your server. You can customize DNS settings for each domain that you create. A Parallels Plesk Panel administrator can also enable clients to customize their own DNS settings.
NOTE: Don't follow the steps below unless you want to customize your DNS records. By default, DNS is automatically set up when you add a new domain name in Parallels Plesk Panel. See What nameservers do I use with my dedicated/virtual dedicated server? for more information.
To Add DNS Records in Parallels Plesk Panel
- Log in to your Plesk control panel as admin.
- Click Domains.
- Click Control Panel for the domain name you want to modify.
- Click the Websites & Domains tab.
- Click DNS Settings, and then click Add Record.
- From the drop-down list, select the record type to create:
- NS — Name server record
- A — Address record
- AAAA — IPv6 address record
- CNAME — Canonical name record
- MX — Mail exchange record
- PTR — Pointer record
- TXT — Text record
- SRV — Service locator
- Enter your Domain name.
- Enter your IP address.
- Click OK, and then click Update.
To Modify DNS Records in Parallels Plesk Panel
- Log in to your Plesk control panel as admin.
- Click Domains.
- Click Control Panel for the domain name you want to modify.
- Click the Websites & Domains tab.
- From the list, click Change DNS zone settings for the domain name you want to update.
- Click the record you want to update.
- Make the changes to the record.
- Click OK, and then click Update.
