Your ability to install patches on your Windows® virtual dedicated server depends on which version of Windows your server runs.

Windows 2003 — You cannot patch your server because of the virtualization software we use. Your server receives patches when we upgrade the server hosting it.
We review and test patches released by Microsoft each month. We begin installation of any relevant patches on our Windows Virtual Dedicated Servers as soon as the virtualization software vendor confirms compatibility with the virtualization software. - Windows 2008 — You can patch your own server.
