Managing Montages in Photo Album

Photo Album lets you create montages, displaying your photos in a custom presentation. You can arrange photos in any sequence, select transitions between photos, and even add a music track.

Note: The photos you add to your montage must be from public galleries. You can't create montages using photos from private or password-protected galleries.

Adding a Montage

You can add montages either by selecting the photos you want, or dragging and dropping them.

To Add a Montage

  1. Log in to your Photo Album account.
  2. From the Home page, go to the Montages box in the sidebar, and then click Create Montage. The Create Montage screen displays.
  3. In the Title field, enter a title for your montage, and then click Create. The Photo Montage screen displays.
  4. From the Add Photos tab, add photos to your montage by doing one of the following:
    • Select the photos you want to add, and then click Add Photos.
    • Click the photo you want to add and, while holding down the mouse button, drag the image to the main screen on the left or to the timeline below, and then release your mouse button.
  5. Click Save Montage. The Do you want to save your montage? window displays.
  6. Click Save & Continue.
  7. To save and exit the montage, click Save & Exit.

Editing a Montage

You can edit montages to add or remove photos, and change elements such as the title.

To Edit a Montage

  1. Log in to your Photo Album account.
  2. From the Home page, go to the Montages box in the sidebar, and then click the montage you want to edit. The montage screen displays.
  3. Click Edit Montage. The montage displays.
  4. To add photos, do one of the following:
    • Select the photos you want to add, and then click Add Photos.
    • Click the photo you want to add and, while holding down the mouse button, drag the image to the main screen on the left or to the timeline below, and then release your mouse button.
  5. To delete photos, do one of the following:
    • From the timeline, go to the photo you want to delete, and then click Delete.
    • Click Clear all photos, and then click Yes.
  6. To edit the title:
    • From the Settings tab, enter your changes in the Montage Title field, and then click Save.
  7. Click Save Montage. The Do you want to save your montage? window displays.
  8. Click Save & Continue.
  9. To save and exit the montage, click Save & Exit.

Deleting a Montage

With Photo Album, you can delete montages you no longer want to display.

To Delete a Montage

  1. Log in to your Photo Album account.
  2. From the Home page, go to the Montages box in the sidebar, and then click the montage you want to delete. The montage screen displays.
  3. Click Delete Montage, and then click OK.

Adding Music to a Montage

You can add music to your montages. You can select from music included with Photo Album, or you can upload your own. For more information about uploading music, see Managing Music Files in Photo Album.

To Add Music to a Montage

  1. Log in to your Photo Album account.
  2. From the Home page, go to the Montages box in the sidebar, and then click the montage where you want to add music. The montage screen displays.
  3. Click Edit Montage. The montage displays.
  4. From the Add Music tab, go to the Select a background music clip list, and then select the music you want.
  5. Click Save Montage. The Do you want to save your montage? window displays.
  6. Click Save & Continue.
  7. To save and exit the montage screen, click Save & Exit.
