Using the Search Engine Visibility Define Keywords Tool

Search Engine Visibility provides an easy-to-use keyword generator. Using the best keywords or phrases will help to improve your website's visibility and search engine rankings.

Using the Keyword Generator

  1. From your Search Engine Visibility home page, under Define Keywords, click Get Started.
  2. For each of your website's pages, enter words or phrases that describe its content, or click Step me through this process.
  3. If you select to use the Keyword Wizard, answer the following questions in the dialog box:
    4. Who are you?
    Enter the type of business or organization that identifies this website.
    Where are you?
    Enter the geographic location.
    What do you do?
    Enter the products or services this website provides.
    How do you do it?
    Enter what's unique about your business or organization.
  4. Click Generate.

The keyword generator tool identifies the best keywords for the information you entered and adds them to the Page Keyword List. Next, you will select your keywords from that list.

Selecting Your Keywords

  1. In the Page Keyword List, sort the list as desired.
  2. Click Add (plus sign) for each keyword you want to use.
  3. Click Add keyword not in keyword list to enter additional keywords.
  4. To further refine your keywords list, click Analyze Content, or click Optimize Tags to apply the current keywords list.
