Before we can issue an SSL certificate for a domain name, we must verify the person requesting the certificate controls the domain name. This ensures we only issue certificates to the domain's controller.
To validate domain control, we email the administrative, registrant, or technical contact listed for the domain in the WHOIS database. If the contact information in the WHOIS database is protected by a private registration service, contact your domain registrar to set up email forwarding. If you cannot or do not receive the email, please contact our customer support to request an alternate validation method.
If we do not receive your approval, we deny the request.
