About Domain Name Appraisals
If you want to buy or sell a domain name, you need to know its value. An appraisal helps you identify a domain name's worth. It provides an estimate of the actual market value of a given domain name.
We offer both Express and Certified appraisals.
Express appraisals use an automated technique to determine the value of your domain name. Determining factors include the domain name's length, the number of words, the top-level domain extension (.com, .net, .org, etc.), the presence of numbers or dashes, and the name's popularity.
Certified appraisals use a more in-depth, manual analysis that includes current market conditions to determine the value of a domain name. For auctioned domain names with a list price greater than $50,000, you must provide a Certified appraisal that appraises the domain name at a minimum value of $25,000.
See Requesting a Domain Name Appraisal to begin the appraisal process. Once you have purchased and set up the appraisal, you can check its progress using the information in Checking Domain Name Appraisal Status.
