Adding Categories to Domain Name Auctions

The category you associate with a domain you list for sale at Go Daddy Auctions® increases your domain's exposure. The nature of the domain may determine the category you want to associate with the domain. However, if you cannot easily place the domain with a category, you can browse the Go Daddy Auctions categories and subcategories until you find one that best suits your domain.

In some cases, your domain name will fit with multiple categories. You can associate your domain with one category when submitting a free basic listing, or you can purchase and associate up to four additional categories or subcategories with your listing.

To Add Categories When Creating Your Auctions Listing

  1. Log in to Go Daddy Auctions.
  2. From the Selling List menu, select List a Domain.
  3. Complete the fields as specified.
  4. In the Add Listing Details area, select up to five categories you want to associate with your domain.

    NOTE: You receive one category with your listing. However, you can purchase four additional categories.

  5. Read and agree to the Terms of Service and Go Daddy Auctions Membership Agreement.
  6. Click Finish and proceed through the checkout.

To Add Additional Categories to An Existing Auctions Listing

  1. Log in to Go Daddy Auctions.
  2. Hover over Selling List and select Selling.
  3. Click the Edit link for the domain name.
  4. Under Add Listing Details, select addition categories.
  5. Read and accept the Universal Terms of Service and the Go Daddy Auctions Membership Agreement.
  6. Click Finish and continue through the checkout process.
