How Do I Create a ColdFusion DSN for My Access Database?

To use ColdFusion to connect to an Access database, you must create a ColdFusion DSN.
NOTE: Access databases are not supported on Windows IIS 7 accounts running ColdFusion.

To Create a ColdFusion DSN for an Access Database
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- In the My Products section, select Hosting.
- Next to the hosting account you want to modify, click Manage Account.
- In the Databases section of your Hosting Control Center, click on the Access icon.
NOTE: You may need to enable Access support for your Windows hosting account before you can create a ColdFusion DSN.
- Click Create New DSN.
- Under the Database File Information section, type in the name of your Access database.
- For the DSN type, select ColdFusion.
- Under the Connection Information section, enter your User Name and Password for your Access database.
- Click Continue
- If everything looks OK, click Create DSN to create a ColdFusion DSN for your Access database.
