Applying Microsoft Database Engine (MSDE) Service Pack 4

To apply MSDE service pack 4 to your Windows virtual dedicated or dedicated server

1. Log in to your Windows server using Remote Desktop Connection. See Accessing Your Windows Dedicated Server using Remote Desktop Connection or Accessing Your Virtual Dedicated Server Using Remote Desktop Connection for details.
2. Download the service pack at MSDN and save to directory C:\SQL2KSP4msde.
3. From the Start menu, click Run....
4. Type cmd and press Enter.
5. Type setup.exe /upgradesp sqlrun and press Enter.
