Hosting Domains on .MAC Accounts

If you registered your domain through us, but you want to host it on your .MAC account, you must park your domain, set up your .MAC account to use the domain, and configure your CNAME records.
To Park Your Domain
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- In the My Products section, select Manage Domains.
- Select the domain you want to park.
- Click Nameservers.
- Select Default Parked Nameservers.
- Click OK.
- Click OK again.
To Configure Your .MAC Account
For information about setting up your .MAC account to work with your personal domain, see the help for your .MAC account.
To Add and Edit Your CNAME Records
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- In the My Products section, click Manage Domains.
- Click the domain name for which you want to edit the CNAME record.
- In the Total DNS Control field, click the Total DNS Control and MX Records hyperlink.
- Click Add New CNAME Record, and then complete the following:
- Enter an Alias Name
- Your domain name. For example, coolexample.com.
- Points To Host Name
- Type web.mac.com.
- TTL
- The time increment for which the server should cache the information.
- To edit your "www" CNAME, click the Edit button for the "www" record.
- Click OK to confirm you want to edit the record.
- In the Points to Host Name field, type web.mac.com.
- Click OK.
