Protected Registration and the domain are tied together, so the best way to cancel the service is to prevent it from auto-renewing by disabling the auto-renewal feature for the Protected Registration in the "Payments & Renewing Items" and let it naturally expire.
To Remove Protected Registration Prior to the Domain Renewal:
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- In the Renewals & Upgrades section, click Payments & Renewing Items.
- From your list of products, select the checkbox next to Protected Registration for the domain you want to modify.
- Above your list of products, click the Auto Renew button.
- In the Auto Renew Product section on the right, select Disable Auto Renew.
- In the Notice area, specify whether you want to allow the protected domain to expire.
- Click Save Changes.
To Remove Protected Registration After Auto-Renewal:
Complete a Request to Cancel Protected Registration.
