Using an iPhone with Your Email

Setting up your personal email account on your iPhone® lets you send and receive email using your phone. This article's screenshots use iPhone firmware 3.1.2, but previous versions use the same settings.
NOTE: iPod Touch users may also use these settings, but must connect via Wi-Fi to send and receive email.
Before You Start:
- Have your full email address and account password ready.
- Find your incoming and outgoing server names, click here to learn how.
To Use an iPhone with Your Email
- From the Home screen, tap Settings.
- On the Settings screen, tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
- Tap Add Account....
- Tap Other.
- Tap Add Mail Account.
- Complete the following fields, and then tap, Save.
- Name
- The name to display on your email.
- Address
- Your email address.
- Password
- Your email account password.
- Description
- A description of the email address to display in the email account list on your iPhone.
- Tap IMAP or POP.
NOTE: To use IMAP, your email account with us must support IMAP functionality.
- Enter your Incoming Mail Server information:
- Host Name
- The incoming server name determined for this domain. Click here for help finding your POP or IMAP settings.
- User Name
- Your full email address.
- Password
- Your email account password.
- Enter your Outgoing Mail Server information:
- Host Name
- The outgoing server name determined for this domain. Click here for help finding your SMTP settings.
NOTE: You must have enabled SMTP relays for your account in the Email Control Center. For more information, see Checking Your SMTP Relay Settings.
- User Name
- Your full email address.
- Password
- Your email account password.
- Tap Save.
