Tomcat is an application server used to execute Java code contained both in Java servlets and Web pages.
To Install Tomcat on Your Windows Virtual Dedicated Hosting Account
- Remote desktop to your hosting account.
- From your hosting server's Start Menu, select Control Panel, then, select one of the following based on your operating system:
- Windows 2003 — Add or Remove Programs
- Windows 2008 — Programs and Features
- Select Plesk for Microsoft Windows and click Change.
- Click Next.
- In the list box, select Tomcat.
- In the popup menu, select Entire component will be installed on local hard drive.
- Click Next to confirm installation.
- Click Next to begin installation.
To Confirm Tomcat Installation on Your Windows Virtual Dedicated Hosting Account
- From your hosting server's Start Menu, select All Programs > SWsoft > Plesk > Plesk for Microsoft Windows.
- Enter your Parallels Plesk Panel login and password, and then click Login.
- Under the System panel, click Server.
- Under Services, double-click Service Management.
- Confirm Tomcat is running as a Parallels Plesk Panel service.
