As of Aug. 1, 2010 we have retired support for WebSite Complete. Existing documentation, however, remains available here for your reference. We recommend using WebSite Tonight® or Quick Shopping Cart® to replace WebSite Complete.

Because your hosting account and your WebSite Complete project are now behind a firewall, you must enable Passive FTP in your WebSite Complete account to publish your website.

You also need to enable Passive FTP if you have a dedicated IP or an SSL certificate associated with your hosting account and your WebSite Complete project, because your account is now located on a server with more advanced security. The change is to ensure a continued high level of security for your site and any customer information that you may be collecting through your site.
