You can choose Go Daddy or Starfield Technologies as the certificate issuing organization when purchasing a new SSL certificate, manually renewing an SSL certificate, or re-keying an SSL certificate.
If you are adding a Site Seal to your website, there are several differences between Go Daddy and Starfield Technologies Site Seals to be aware of:
- Go Daddy seals are Flash, while Starfield Technologies seals are only available as static images.
- Go Daddy seals have a portrait orientation, while Starfield Technologies seals are landscape orientation.
- Go Daddy seals differentiate between Extended-Validation (EV) and other types of certificates, while Starfield Technologies seals do not.
- Go Daddy seals are transparent, while Starfield Technologies seals are opaque on a white background.
