Adding an External Hardware Firewall to Your Dedicated Server

GoDaddy.com offers two firewall solutions for your dedicated server. Software firewall applications may be installed onto your dedicated server (for example, Parallels Plesk Panel includes a software firewall). Additionally, we offer external hardware firewalls, which provide a greater level of security and increased performance.

To Add an External Hardware Firewall to Your Dedicated Server

1. Log in to your Account Manager.
2. Click Servers.
3. Click the name of the server you want to use.
4. Go to the Customize tab.
5. Select the Hardware Firewall you want.
6. Click Checkout, and then complete the checkout process.

Please allow for downtime (up to five hours) during which the requested hardware change will be completed. We will send you an email notice with further instructions on scheduling maintenance.
