Add an External Hardware Firewall to a Dedicated Server

GoDaddy.com offers two firewall solutions for your dedicated server. Software firewall applications may be installed onto your dedicated server (for example, the Plesk Control Panel includes a software firewall). Additionally, we offer external hardware firewalls, which provide a greater level of security and increased performance.
Add an External Hardware Firewall to Your Dedicated Server
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- From the My Products section, select Servers.
- Click on the appropriate server account name. The right pane will refresh.
- Expand Other Add-ons and scroll down to the value you wish to modify: External Hardware Firewall.
- Check the External Hardware Firewall section and choose Cisco PIX 501.
- Click Continue to proceed to the checkout process.
Please allow for downtime (up to one hour) during which the requested hardware change will be completed. We will send you an email notice with further instructions on scheduling maintenance.
