What MX records do I use if I am hosting my domain with another provider?

Here's the Lowdown: If you are using an email account you purchased through us and your domain is hosted through another provider, you must update your MX records with your hosting provider.
Settings for Web-Based Email, POP, and IMAP accounts
The settings required for your domain will differ depending upon the type of email account you purchased. Click here for help finding your settings, including MX Records.
Changing your CNAME Records
Log on to your hosting provider or third-party domain name system manager. Locate the CNAMEs and set the following:
- Set imap to the IMAP host name indicated in the Email Control Center.
- Set mail to the POP host name indicated in the Email Control Center.
- Set pop to the POP host name indicated in the Email Control Center.
- Set smtp to the SMTP host name indicated in the Email Control Center.
- Set email to one of the following:
- Non-European accounts — email.secureserver.net
- European accounts — email.europe.secureserver.net
- Set webmail to one of the following:
- Non-European accounts — webmail.secureserver.net
- European accounts — webmail.europe.secureserver.net
- Set e to one of the following:
- Non-European accounts — email.secureserver.net
- European accounts — email.europe.secureserver.net
Settings for Hosted Exchange Email Accounts
Use the following MX Records for Hosted Exchange Email:
Note: These MX Records are specific to users who use our Hosted Exchange Email and are hosted through a separate provider.
- MX0
- presmtp.ex1.secureserver.net
- CNAME
- OWA.yourdomain.com mapped to mail.ex1.secureserver.net
- CNAME
- autodiscover.yourdomain.com mapped to autodiscoverredirect.ex1.secureserver.net
Note: If you do not create the email.yourdomain.com CNAME record, you can still log in to Web-Based Email at http://email.secureserver.net.
