What Type of Organization Can Request an Premium SSL Certificate?

Any incorporated or limited liability company which is legally registered in the U.S. and verified with a registered status of "Good Standing," "Active" or equivalent can apply for an Premium SSL certificate.

Note: Entities that do not meet the above requirements currently cannot request Premium SSL certificates. However, the CA/Browser Forum (the organization that defines the Premium SSL standards) is presently working on ways to support other types of businesses for Premium SSL certificate issuance.
