Do real-time stats in Site Analytics capture the same data as log files?

No. Real-time reporting is a page-oriented system. This means when a user views a Web page, an action is tracked in real-time. Because file information is not available to client-side scripts, real-time stats cannot access information about files, such as CSS, JavaScript, image files, and PDFs.
Log files do contain that information, though. We can process log files if you're using Site Analytics on a site hosted with us. This gives you the advantages of real-time data (such as current visitors, exit links, time on exit page, overlay, and real-time stats) with the advantages of log file processing (file downloads, bandwidth, errors).
