Managing Tags in Quick Blogcast

Tags in Quick Blogcast® help visitors find your blog posts, and organize your blog posts in addition to adding categories. Tags complement categories. While you might have a few main categories, you'll likely have many different tags that describe various aspects of a category.

The Manage Tags page lists all the tags used in the selected blogcast site. From this page, you can view tags, view posts associated with a tag, create a new tag, and delete tags. You can add new tags on the Manage Tags page, or you can add a new tag as you are creating a new post.

Note: You can enter multiple tags into a field when they are separated by commas.

Adding Tags at the Tags List

You can add new tags at the Tags list, where all your tags display in one location.

To Add Tags

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. Click Quick Blogcast.
  3. Click Launch next to the blog account you want to modify.
  4. From the Manage Blog menu, select Tags.
  5. In the Quick Add Tag field, enter the new tags.
  6. Click Add. The new tags display in the Tags list.

Adding Tags at Post Pages

You can add tags at the same place you create or edit posts.

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. Click Quick Blogcast.
  3. Click Launch next to the blog account you want to modify.
  4. From the Post Activities menu, select New Post.
  5. From the menu on the right, in the Tags field enter the tags, and then click Add. The new tags display in the Tags list.

 

Deleting Tags

You can delete tags so they no longer display with posts.

To Delete Tags

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. Click Quick Blogcast.
  3. Click Launch next to the blog account you want to modify.
  4. From the Manage Blog menu, select Tags.
  5. Select the tags you want, and then click Delete. The tags no longer display in the Tags list.

Viewing the Tag List

You can view all your tags in a list, which might be useful for organizing your blog.

To View the Tag List

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. Click Quick Blogcast.
  3. Click Launch next to the blog account you want to modify.
  4. From the Manage Blog menu, select Tags. The Tags list displays.

Viewing Posts Associated with Tags

You can view all the posts you associated with particular tags.

To View Posts Associated with Tags

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. Click Quick Blogcast.
  3. Click Launch next to the blog account you want to modify.
  4. From the Manage Blog, select Tags.
  5. Next to the the Tag Name you want, click the number that displays under Posts. Posts associated with that tag display on the Manage Posts page.
