Inserting, Replacing, and Deleting Widgets

You can insert Widgetbox Widgets into WebSite Tonight. Widgets add functionality to your website that can increase user engagement and make them more likely to stay on your site.

NOTE: Widgets are only available on Deluxe and Premium WebSite Tonight plans.

To Insert Widgets into WebSite Tonight

  1. Log in to your WebSite Tonight account.
  2. From the Design menu, click Page Designer.
  3. If necessary, from the You are editing list, select the page you want to add the Widget to.
  4. Click the block you want to add your Widget to. Blocks are outlined in blue.
  5. Position your cursor where you want to insert the Widget.
  6. Go to the Insert tab and select Widget.
  7. Locate the Widget you want to use. You can use the Search box to use tags or keywords to find a specific Widget or you can browse by one of the following categories:
    • News & Weather
    • Time
    • Website Related
    • Multimedia
    • Weird & Wonderful
  8. Click the Widget you want to use.
  9. (Optional) Set the Widget's options.
  10. Click Get Widget.

To Replace an Existing Widget

  1. Log in to your WebSite Tonight account.
  2. From the Design menu, click Page Designer .
  3. If necessary, from the You are editing list, select the page containing the Widget you want to replace.
  4. Click the block containing the Widget you want to replace. Blocks are outlined in blue.
  5. Click the Widget.

    TIP: Double-click the Widget to open the Widget dialog immediately.

  6. On the Options tab, click Replace Widget.
  7. Locate the Widget you want to use. You can use the Search box to use tags or keywords to find a specific Widget or you can browse by one of the following categories:
    • News & Weather
    • Time
    • Website Related
    • Multimedia
    • Weird & Wonderful
  8. Click the Widget you want to use.
  9. (Optional) Set the Widget's options.
  10. Click Get Widget.

To Delete a Widget

  1. Log in to your WebSite Tonight account.
  2. From the Design menu, click Page Designer .
  3. If necessary, from the You are editing list, select the page containing the Widget you want to replace.
  4. Click the block containing the Widget you want to replace. Blocks are outlined in blue.
  5. Click the Widget.
  6. Press the Delete key.
