In WebSite Tonight, you can add an SSL certificate to each page in your website. You can specify which pages you want to certify and which ones you don't. You need to purchase an SSL certificate before you can certify your Web pages. Pages that are specified as secure will be accessed using HTTPS instead of HTTP. HTTPS is a secure version of HTTP.

Add an SSL Certificate to Your Web Pages

  1. Log in to your WebSite Tonight account.
  2. In the Tools and Resources area, click Hosting Settings.
  3. In the Account Summary section, next to SSL Status, click Purchase SSL Certificate.
  4. Follow the purchase process and any remaining instructions to request your SSL.
  5. If the SSL request is approved, you will receive an email letting you know it is installed.

To Secure Pages on Your Site

Once signed and issued, you will receive an e-mail message that allows you to download the certificate along with intermediate certificates. Your certificate will automatically be associated with your WebSite Tonight account. Once your certificate is issued, each page on your site will have SSL certification selected by default.

  1. Log in to your WebSite Tonight account.
  2. From the Manage menu, click Organize Site.
  3. Click the thumbnail of the page you want to edit.
  4. Select or deselect the Make this page Secure checkbox.
  5. You can repeat these steps for any other pages in your website.
