Adding and Setting Properties for Text Boxes and Text Areas

To Add a Text Box or Text Area as a Form Element

  1. Log in to your WebSite Tonight account.
  2. From the Design menu, click Page Designer .
  3. If necessary, from the You are editing list, select the page that contains the form you want to edit.
  4. Click the form you want to edit.
  5. Go to the Options tab, and then select Edit Form.
  6. From the Insert Fields list select Text Box or Text Area.
  7. In the Enter a label for the new field field, specify the text you want to use as the label.
  8. Click OK.

Note: If you want to assign properties to the text field, modify the properties in the Text Area Properties pane.

To Set Text Box or Text Area Properties

  1. Log in to your WebSite Tonight account.
  2. From the Design menu, click Page Designer .
  3. If necessary, from the You are editing list, select the page you want to edit.
  4. Click the table you want to edit.
  5. Click the field you want to edit. The Text Box Properties displays on the left.
  6. If necessary, in the Label field, edit the label.
  7. If Necessary, in the Tooltip field, edit the tooltip.
  8. To specify the number of rows in the text box, in the Rows field, enter the number.
  9. To specify the number of columns in the text box, in the Columns field, enter the number.
  10. In the Wrap list, select an option for wrapping text.
  11. To require users to complete this field, select Required.
  12. To move the text area above the previous item in the form, click Move Up.
  13. To move the text area below the next item in the form, click Move Down.
