Using Links for Site Promotion

Links provide a way for you to automatically generate URL listings for pages in your Quick Shopping Cart storefront. You can then copy the URL and place it as a link on other websites or give it to others to place in advertising and other activities that rely on links. You can also add source code to your links for tracking (tagging) purposes.

Links are not related to specific products.

To Create Links

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. Click Quick Shopping Cart.
  3. On the Quick Shopping Cart page, click Launch next to the Quick Shopping Cart account you want to use.
  4. From the Promote menu, in the Visibility section, click Links.
  5. Select Use Source Code, and enter a unique source code for the link.
  6. Select the type of link to create:
    Home Page
    Links directly to Home page.
    Showcase Product
    From the list, select a product to showcase.
    Showcase Category
    From the list, select a category to showcase.
    Store Search
    Enter a search term.

The source code for the link displays on the bottom of the page.

NOTE: Source codes can be any characters. You must be able to identify what each source code represents. For example, Yahoo!001 might refer to your first ad on Yahoo!.
