Setting up Online File Folder

After purchasing Online File Folder, you set up your account and specify preferences, such as whether you want to associate your Online File Folder with your email account. Once the setup is complete, it may take up to 30 minutes for your Online File Folder account to become active. When you've finished setting up your account, you can start using your Online File Folder. For information about logging in to your Online File Folder account, see How much of someone else's work can I use without permission?.

To Set Up Your Online File Folder from Within the Email Control Center for Existing Email Addresses

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. In the My Products section, click Online File Folder.
  3. Select the new account you want to use, and then click the Setup Account hyperlink.
  4. The Email Control Center opens. Click the Activate button, located in the Online File Folder plans header.
  5. In the Activate Online File Folder Account box, complete the following:
    Select Plan
    Select the Online File Folder plan you want to set up.
    Email
    Specify the email account you want to associate with the new Online File Folder plan. This is the email account you use to send and share files using Online File Folder.
    User Name
    Enter the user name you want to use with your Online File Folder account.
    Set Password
    Enter the password you want to use for the account.
    Confirm
    Re-enter your password.
  6. Click OK.

    NOTE: To complete your setup, you must log in to your Online File Folder account and accept the user agreement. Your account displays as unverified until you complete this step.

To Set Up Your Online File Folder from Within the Email Control Center for a New Email Address

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. In the My Products section, click Email.
  3. Click Manage Account for the email account you want to manage.
  4. On the Related Products tab, select Online File Folder and complete the following:
    Select Account
    Select the Online File Folder plan you want to set up.
    Username
    Enter the user name you want to use with your Online File Folder account.
    Set Password
    Enter the password you want to use for the account.
    Confirm
    Re-enter your password.
  5. Continue completing the fields as you want. For more information about setting up your email account, see Setting Up Your Email Account in the Email Control Center.
  6. Click OK.
