If a domain registered with us after May 2, 2005 expires, we automatically list it for auction on The Domain Name Aftermarket (TDNAM). You can bid on any expired domain. However, the current registrant can reclaim the domain during the redemption grace period. If the current registrant renews the domain, we will notify you and you can apply your backorder to another domain.

You can bid on any domain names listed at the Domain Name Aftermarket (TDNAM). After you place a bid, TDNAM notifies the seller, and the seller has the option to accept or counter your offer.

To Bid on an Expired Domain

  1. Log in to TDNAM. Your Account Manager displays.
  2. Click Auctions.
  3. Go to the Expiring tab.
  4. Locate the domain on which you want to bid.
  5. Click Bid.
  6. In the Enter your bid field, enter the bid amount.
  7. Read and check the acknowledgement.
  8. Click Confirm.
