Transferring .eu Domain Names to Us
You can transfer a .eu domain name to us. However, the transfer process is unique to the European Registry of Internet Domain Names (EURid).
When transferring a .eu domain name to us, you retain the time remaining on your original registration, and we add one year of registration to the original expiration date.
When you purchase a .eu domain name transfer from us, we notify EURid of your request, and we send transfer IDs to the email address on file in your account with us. EURid sends a confirmation request to the registrant contact's email address as it displays in the Whois database. You must follow the instructions in EURid's email to confirm that you want the transfer to proceed. (If you need to update your registrant contact's email address, contact your current registrar.)
You must authorize the transfer in your account with us within 14 days or your request expires. The sooner you authorize your transfer, the sooner it completes. If your transfer request expires, you can contact EURid or our support team to restart the transfer.
To authorize the transfer, you must enter the transfer IDs (transaction ID and security code) in the Domain Manager. For the authorization code, you have two choices: You can request it from EURid and enter it in the Domain Manager, or you can leave the field blank. If you leave the field blank, you must respond to EURid's confirmation email or send a confirmation fax to EURid. EURid processes your confirmation within 24 hours on European business days. We notify you via email when the transfer completes and the domain name is active in your account with us.
EURid charges a non-refundable transfer fee upon successful completion of the transfer.
