Appointed by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), mTLD is backed by leading mobile operators, network device manufacturers, and Internet content providers, including Ericsson, Google, GSM Association, Hutchison, Microsoft, Nokia, Orascom Telecom, Samsung Electronics, Syniverse, T-Mobile, Telefónica Móviles, TIM, and Vodafone.
mTLD is based in Dublin, Ireland.
