What is the Process for Registering .nl Domains?

Here's the Lowdown: You are eligible to register .nl domains if you have a registered Netherlands address where you can receive written documents and have legal summonses served. If an application does not pass validation, the registry rejects it.

To Register for a .nl Domain

  1. On our homepage, in the Domain Name Search area, enter the domain, select .nl from the list, click Go, and then proceed through the screens.
  2. Proceed through Checkout.

Domain names can be up to 63 characters, with a minimum of three characters, and can contain letters (a to z), numbers (0 to 9), and single hyphens (except at the beginning, end, or third and fourth characters in the domain name). You cannot register domain names with special characters.
