Upgrading Your Windows Shared Hosting Account to IIS 7

You can upgrade to IIS 7 through the IIS Settings page in the Content section of the Hosting Control Center.

Existing Windows Shared Hosting accounts running IIS 6 are available for upgrading to IIS 7. For information on IIS 7, see What is IIS 7?.

NOTE: IIS 7 is not compatible with FrontPage Extensions.

To Upgrade to IIS 7

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. In the My Products section, select Hosting.
  3. Next to the hosting account you want to modify, click Manage Account.
  4. In the Content section of the Hosting Control Center, click the IIS Settings icon.
  5. Click Upgrade to IIS 7 and then read the on-screen information to make sure you understand the upgrade process.
  6. Click OK.

    NOTE: You cannot downgrade to IIS 6.
