MySmartSpace® is your personal control panel for your online resources - blogs, RSS feeds, social networks, whatever your online needs may be. MySmartSpace makes it easy to manage your favorite pages, read the news, keep up with Twitter and much more.

In order to access MySmartSpace, you'll first need to set up your SmartSpace® account. For instructions on setting up your SmartSpace, see SmartSpace Getting Started Guide.

Accessing MySmartSpace is done through your SmartSpace account. Once you log in, you'll see the header for MySmartSpace.

To Log into MySmartSpace

  1. Log into your SmartSpace account.
  2. In the header click one of these icons:
  3.
My News Space   My Social Space   My Entertainment Space

Working with Spaces

You can organize your content by creating up to nine different Spaces within MySmartSpace. We've created a few for you already: News, Social, and Entertainment Space. But you don't have to stop there! You can add a Travel Space, Finance Space, or whatever space will meet your online needs.

To Add a Space

Adding a Space is simple and changing Spaces is easily done by clicking on the icons in the header.

  1. Click Add (+).
  2. Select the icon to represent your space.
  3. Name your space and click OK.

To Add Content (Widgets)

You control the content housed in your Spaces through adding and deleting widgets. Once you select which Space you want to add a widget to, you'll see a pre-listed group of widgets that you can choose from.

  1. Click the Add Content tab.
  2. Select your category of interest.
  3. Click the Add button or drag and drop the widget where you would like it to display.

When you select (+) Add, the widget will automatically default to the left column in the space provided below. Since there are three columns available, you can drag the widget box across the page. You can also drag the boxes up and down in their columns.

Working with Categories and Widgets

Your widgets will be organized in the categories list. To help you get started we have created a listing of categories and widgets. The type of pre-listed widget will match the category it best fits. For instance, the Twitter widget will be listed under the Social category list. You can add, edit, and delete the categories and widgets you've added.

To Add a Category

When you add a Category, it will display at the bottom of the categories list.

  1. Click Add Content.
  2. Click Add (+).
  3. Name your new category and click OK.

To add a Widget

If don't see the widget you're looking for, you can add a new one. Make sure that when you're entering the URL that you enter the RSS feed URL.

  1. Click the Space icon you want to add a widget to.
  2. Click Add Content.
  3. Click New Widget (+).
  4. Enter the RSS feed URL.
  5. Select the category.
  6. Click Add Folder and then, click OK.
