Using Windows Mobile 5 with Hosted Exchange Email

Before installing Hosted Exchange email, make sure the Starfield certificate is installed on your Windows Mobile 5 phone. For more information about installing the Starfield certificate, see Installing the Starfield Certificate and Active Sync to Your Mobile Device.

Using Windows Mobile 5 with Hosted Exchange email

  1. Turn on your mobile device.
  2. From the Start menu, select Active Sync.
  3. Select the option to sync directly with the Hosted Exchange email Server.
  4. For your server address, enter "ex1.secureserver.net".
  5. "Select the checkbox that indicates you are using SSL.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Complete the fields following fields:
    • Username — Enter your Account ID. Depending on the account is configured, this could be your email address.
    • Password — Enter your Hosted Exchange email email password.
    • Domain — Type one of the following, based on your Hosted Exchange email version:
      • Exchange 2007 — mail.ex1.secureserver.net
      • Exchange 2010 — mail.ex2.secureserver.net
  8. Click Next.
  9. Select the items you want to sync.
  10. Click Finish.
  11. Click OK to indicate you want to enforce security policies on your device and continue to synchronize.
