Setting up Your Go Daddy Marketplace Shop

Here's the Lowdown: The Marketing Solutions Product Manager lets you set up your shop in four consecutive steps. After you save each section, you can stop and come back later to complete the setup process.

To Set up your Go Daddy Marketplace® Shop

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. In the My Products section, click Marketplace.
  3. In the Marketplace Account list, click Setup Account for the new account you want to set up. The Marketing Solutions Manager opens to the Quick Setup for Marketplace tab.

There are four steps that you must complete to set up your shop. The following sections detail each step and the information required.

Shop Information

You can set up your shop using an existing business from your Quick Shopping Cart or create a new business.

Business
To use an existing business, choose your business from the list.
To create a new business, enter the business name.
Business name
The name of your new business.
Email address
The email address to which you want customer inquiries sent.
Customer service phone
The phone number for customer service inquiries.

Click Save and Go To Step 2 to display the Add Products to Marketplace tab.

NOTE: You can update your business registration profile at any time. Log in to your Business Manager or see Managing Your Business Registration Profile for help.

Add Products

You can enter these details for each product you add. To learn about importing products from your existing Quick Shopping Cart, see Importing Products from Quick Shopping Cart.

Product Name
The name of the product.
Product ID
(Optional) An additional ID for the product.
Category
To assign categories, click Assign Categories. Select the Category and Subcategory, and then, click OK.
Price
The price of the product.
Is this item taxable?
Indicates if you want to tax this product.
Product Summary
Summary of the product description (maximum 250 characters).
Description
Detailed description of the product (maximum 1000 characters).
Keywords
(Optional) Comma-separated list of keywords for searches (maximum 50 characters).
Images
(Optional) One or more images of the product.
US Shipping, Alaska Shipping, Hawaii Shipping
Shipping charges for product.
Shipping Notes
(Optional) Additional shipping information for the product.
Manufacturer
Name of the Manufacturer.
Model Number
Model number of the product.
Inventory in stock
The number of products you have available.
Always show as available regardless of inventory
Indicates if the product will always be available in your shop.
Status
Status of this product.
Product options
Lets you add/or edit product options.
Feature
Indicates if this product will be featured in your shop.

Click Save and Go To Step 3 to continue setting up your shop, or click Save and add product to add more products before finishing the setup.

Tax and American Express Information

If you want to charge tax, you need to provide your state's tax information. American Express requires additional information in order process payments with their cards.

NOTE: You must provide the additional American Express details before you can activate your shop.

Tax Information
Your state and the tax rate.
Tax shipping Charges
Indicates if you want to tax shipping charges.
American Express Information
Required fields that will allow shoppers to pay for your products with American Express
Merchant category
The category which best describes your business.
Business Description
A description of your business.
Country
Your country.
Street address
Your street address.
City
Your city.
State
Your state.
Zip code
Your zip code.
Phone
Your country code and enter your phone number.

Click Save and Finish to continue, or click Skip and finish later to come back later and complete the setup.

Payee Account

The final step to set up your shop is to provide your pay preferences. From the Marketplace Home, in the Getting Paid box, click Edit Information and enter the following information.

Payment Info
Lets you select an existing payee account to use or select Create payee account to create a new payee account.
Payee account name
The name for your new payee account.
Payment type
Indicates your preferred method of payment.
Pay to
The name of the account holder.
Address 1 and 2
The payee account street address.
City
The payee account your city.
Zip Code
The payee account zip code.
State
The payee account state.
Country
The payee account country.
Phone, Fax, and Alternate phone
The payee account contact numbers.

Click Save to complete the payee setup and continue.

Your Go Daddy Marketplace Shop setup is complete.
