How many IP addresses come with a Dedicated server? Can I purchase more?

A dedicated servers come with a single IP address, however you may request two more at no additional cost. For more information, see Request Additional IP Addresses for your Virtual Dedicated/Dedicated Server.

If you need more than three IP addresses, you must submit a Trouble Ticket and pay an additional monthly fee per IP address. View the current pricing here.

NOTE: Do not purchase the dedicated IP from the page linked to above—it is for pricing information only.

Additional IP addresses are only provided for valid business-related uses, which must be provided in writing, along with the use of at least two of the three original IPs. Once provided the additional IP addresses, you must implement them within 30 days.

To Submit Your Written Request via Trouble Ticket

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. Click Servers.
  3. Next to the server you want to use, click Launch.
  4. Under Support, click Trouble Ticket. The Trouble Ticket Wizard displays
  5. Enter your contact information, including an email address and phone number.
  6. Under Trouble Ticket Description, enter a summary and a detailed description of your issue .
  7. Click Continue.
  8. Review your trouble ticket information, and then click Submit.

What to Include in Your Trouble Ticket

Provide the following information:

  • Desired number of additional IPs — up to three per request
  • Business-related use of the new IPs, as well as two of the three original IPs

    NOTE: Search engine optimization is not an ARIN-compliant justification.

  • Last four digits of the payment method to use for the purchase
  • Specific authorization to charge the specified payment method

Additional IP addresses initially bill for two months, and then automatically bill monthly thereafter.
