If you cannot remember the root password for your dedicated server, we will need to reset it for you. Due to the nature of the task, this requires a small fee. If this is acceptable, create a Trouble Ticket from within the Dedicated Hosting Manager and include the following:
- Acceptance of the $25 password reset fee.
- The six-digit PIN on file for your account that you want to use to pay for the fee.
You need to use the password sync feature in the dedicated hosting manager to specify what you want the password to be.
To Sync your Password
- Log into your Account Manager.
- Under the My Products section, select Servers.
- Click Launch Manager next to the server account that you would like to manage. The Dedicated Hosting Manager opens in a new window.
- Under Support, select Sync Password.
- Enter the password you want to use.
