How to FTP to Your Server
To upload files to your server, you need an FTP client. FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. It lets you connect to a remote server or computer, such as a server in another state. Using FTP, you can move files from your machine to the remote one and create folders for those files on that computer.
Some popular FTP clients include:

Using Windows XP Network Places to Upload Your websiteAfter downloading and installing one of these clients, you can use it to connect to your server. You will need to know your IP address of your server to FTP, or you may upload to your domain.
You will also need the following:
FTP User Name
This is the user name for your hosting account.
FTP Password
This is the password for your hosting account.
NOTE:You may also consider using the FTP option in your control panel. Each control panel has a Manage Files option, or FTP User option.
